Seeing Fred Sandback's work at Dia: Beacon a few weeks ago was such an inspiration. His fine, immaculate lines appear effortless creating a space of virtual shapes playing with the concept of negative space. His minimal structures encourage the viewer to perceive the remaining shape and form as they walk through and around each piece. His simple line, shape and form in regards to viewer interaction within the space is what makes his work so strong.
