Australia's favorite fashion magazine, SHOP Til You Drop, featured Cradle in their latest seasonal winter June issue. The feature highlight's Brooklyn's hottest fashion, food, bars and coffee. We were honored of course to make an appearance except... There was a typo! While we are a big fan of Alter, Cradle is not actually carried there (yet)! Still, the feature mentions some of my other favorites like Oroboro, Bird, and La Esquina (great food and summertime patio ambiance). While I think it goes without saying, summer is definitely my favorite time to be in Brooklyn!
Seeing Fred Sandback's work at Dia: Beacon a few weeks ago was such an inspiration. His fine, immaculate lines appear effortless creating a space of virtual shapes playing with the concept of negative space. His minimal structures encourage the viewer to perceive the remaining shape and form as they walk through and around each piece. His simple line, shape and form in regards to viewer interaction within the space is what makes his work so strong. Images courtesy of: http://artobserved.com + http://www.davidzwirner.com
Amanda Hatheway, of blog Avant-Vedge, features Cradle Fiona necklace in a post about body and self-perception, something that many women struggle with daily. Read her insightful post Honestly | Self Perception and check out her look on Lookbook.nu including Cradle, Rundholz and one of my favorite shops Physical Element.
